The Cruachan "Casual" is a light weight kilt made from cloth that is Twill Weave, 100% New Wool and is 335gm per linear metre (10oz per linear yard). All of our Cruachan kilts may be hemmed due to non-kilting selvedge.
The casual kilt is made from a minimum of 4 yards of cloth unlike the traditional kilt which at standard is made from at least 8 yards of cloth. The major difference between the casual and the traditional is the pleats are not as numerous and not as deep. In saying this you will receive a kilt with no compromise in quality.

Prince Charlie Coatee & Vest
This fitted military cut jacket, traditionally worn with the kilt for more formal occasions, is tailored from the finest 100% Pure New Wool black or barathea and trimmed with chrome plated Celtic buttons. Coatee has a satin lapel.

Thurso Dress Sporran
These dress sporrans have three tassels, each from one chain and has a leather back and surround. The dress sporran shown is in Sealskin with an chrome Chrome Circle & Chain cantle.
For customers in the US the sealskin will be replaced with bovine.

Sgian Dubh
This is a Plain Horn Sgian Dubh. This design, as the name suggests, is a plain piece with no pieces protruding from it.
All horn is naturally shed and is mostly genuine Scottish horn with only a small proportion being imported due to the Scottish horn being to pithy in the middle to get a smooth back.

Kilt Hose
Traditional ribbed long leg style knitted in 80% wool with 20% nylon added to enhance performance. Hand linked for maximum comfort. Available in four sizes - small (4 to 6 1/2), medium (7-8 1/2), large (9-11) and extra large (11 1/2 - 13). Available in Cream, Navy, Oatmeal, Black, Lovat Blue or Lovat Green.

Kilt Roll
The kilt roll is without doubt the best and easiest way to transport your kilt. Whilst it keeps your kilt crease free and with pleats in place, it is still a small enough bag to carry anywhere. It has a carry handle and a shoulder strap.
